Summer weather is officially here! With warm weather and sunshine, comes a change in beauty routine. I, for one, am so excited to get some much needed Vitamin D after this long Wisconsin winter, and I have a few basic product that I use all summer long for a fresh look.

1. bareMinerals All-Over Face Color – Warmth

I have been using bareMinerals since I was 16 and love their products! One of my favorite products, especially for summer, is their All-Over Face Color (in Warmth). This is a great bronzer and perfect for giving your skin that sun-kissed glow! Put some on your cheeks, chin, forehead and nose for a subtle summer glow. I also put a little on my neck and chest if I’m wearing something low cut. (I haven’t tried their other colors yet, but the Natural Finish – Faux Tan is definitely next on my list.)

2. NARS – Orgasm Blush

I bought this after I got my make up done for my boudoir shoot a few years ago. The make up artist use it on my cheeks and I have been obsessed ever since. It’s a perfect pop of pink for summer, with a little bit of gold hue for shimmer. Great on its own, or over your bronzer.

3. SPF 30

Don’t forget to give your beautiful skin some love this summer! I was born a pale German, and after years of trying and damaging my skin, I have officially given up on trying to get a tan. I will typically sit out for 5-10 minutes before putting on sunscreen, just to get a little Vitamin D, but then lather on the SPF 30. I typically buy a sport sunscreen because I have found it works better with sweat and water. I also love the spray on sunscreen (sorry environment!) because it’s easy and quick to apply. Honestly, buy whatever sunscreen works for you and whatever makes you actually put it on! I know I won’t sit down and lotion up for 10 minutes, so the spray bottle is what I buy to make it easier for me to keep my skin healthy.

4. Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater

I got this as a Christmas gift a few years ago and love it! It will spray this on my face and body (and even my hair) for dewy, fresh skin. It smells like roses and is a great refresher on a hot summer day, or a great way to wake ourself up in the morning. I have also sprayed it over makeup in the afternoon and haven’t had any issues of it coming off.
