My latest Try The World creation was from the Brazil box! This box was filled with spices, cheese bread mix, brazil nut cookies, jam, peanut candies and coffee. While I enjoyed some of the treats right away, it took me awhile to get around to cooking a meal with all of the ingredients.
The recipe in the box was for Chicken and Beef Churrasco (a Brazilian barbecue dish). I made mine with beef, but for you vegetarians out there, you could also make these with zucchini, okra and onion!
Here is the recipe below, along with some pictures of the final product! It was delicious and so much fun to make. The steak was very flavorful and the cheese bread mix that also came with the box was very light and fluffy. A great way to step into Brazil for a night.
Beef Churrasco & Cheese Bread
1 1/2 cubed sirloin
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and let marinate at room temperature for 1 hour, or cover and let marinate overnight in the fridge.Soak 5-8 wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before the meat is ready.
Once the meat is marinated, thread the meat onto the wooden skewers. Grill over high heat until charred and cooked through, flipping once. Serve and enjoy!
