Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I know some of you haven’t found the perfect gift for Mom yet. But never fear! I have put together a simple list of last minute goodies that are not flowers (and that haven’t been over done) that every mom is sure to love.
At Home Spa
What women doesn’t love being pampered? Surprise your momma, with something to treat herself with! Body scrub, a pedicure set, eye masks and some nail polish are always a simple, easy gift to create an at home spa. Take a quick trip to Ulta, Sephora or even Target to pick up some beauty essentials. If you’re still at a loss in the beauty department, a Mother/Daughter pedi or spa day is always a great gift!
Fun Summer Accessories
If your mom is anything like mine, she loves fashion, but has trouble picking things out for herself. And in true mom-fashion, even if she does find something, she never buys anything for herself. Give her something fun to wear this Summer, something she would never buy for herself! Some fun earrings (Clustered Stone Ring Drop Earrings) or sunglasses (Cateye Sunglasses) are an easy crowd pleaser. Or you can get her something trendy with a simple or colorful scarf (Polka Dot Silk Scarf, Lemon Silk Skinny Scarf)! And, when all else false, every mom loves a big summer tote (Cut-Out Straw Tote) or clutch (Cenade Clutch)!
Breakfast In Bed
I know you’re not 5 anymore, and you won’t “sneak” out of bed and loudly put Eggo waffles in the toaster and “surprise” your moms with orange juice and poorly constructed breakfast food. But, you CAN head over to mom’s house on Mother’s day and cook her an amazing brunch! Going out to brunch is great, but let’s face it, it’s crowded and if you don’t have a reservation by now, you can basically forget it.
Create a personal spread with your mom’s favorites and don’t let her help with the cooking or cleaning up! This can be as simple as picking up some pastries from your local bakery, or you can get really fancy and make some delicious stuffed crepes or waffles with coffee.
What are some of your plans for Mother’s Day? Any other great last minute finds?
