The Ultimate Baby/Toddler Packing List

Baby Packing List

After our first family vacation (and first time flying with a baby), I thought it was time I shared my ultimate packing list for babies & toddlers! Per usual, I’ve broken everything down into categories (which I personally find helpful, especially when making a baby packing list). When packing, I typically like to walk through our day/schedule and just list off everything I need for each activity/task so I don’t forget anything. So, feel free to print off this list and add whatever you need to for your family’s specific needs.

There are a few links to some of my favorite products in this post, all of which we have used time and time again! As always, I would never recommend something I don’t love, and I hope they help make traveling with your little one as easy as they have for me.

Daytime

  • Shirts/onesies
  • Shorts/pants
  • Sweatshirts/sweaters
  • Jacket
  • Socks
  • Shoes/sandals
  • Pacifier strings
  • Pacifiers
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Swimsuit & rash guard (If needed)

Nighttime

Toiletries

  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  • Lotion
  • Diapers (If you’re going on a longer trip, just pack what you need for your travel day, plus one more day, and then buy the rest at your destination)
  • Wipes (I do the same with wipes, just bring 1 pack and buy extras at your destination)
  • Overnight diapers
  • Diaper bags (I like to keep these in my diaper bag so if we don’t have a diaper pale, the garbage wont smell too bad. You can also use them for storing wet/messy clothes when on the go.)
  • Diaper cream
  • Sunscreen
  • Medications (allergy, pain/fever reliever, teething oil, nose frida, bandaids, Wellements immune boost, probiotics)
  • Bath soap
  • Mini stain remover spray or pen
  • Your everyday diaper bag

Food

Toys & entertainment

  • Stuffed animal/lovey
  • Toys/books
  • A new toy (or two) for the plane or car ride
  • iPad/Kindle & charger
  • Headphones

Misc.

  • Credit card (You inevitably will always forget something! As long as you have a credit card handy, you’ll never have to worry.)
  • Baby carrier
  • Travel stroller
  • Extra collapsable bag
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Outlet covers
  • Painters tape (You can use this to wrap cabinet knobs and handles for some makeshift baby proofing)
  • Hand sanitizer & Clorox wipes

Items to buy at your destination

  • Whole milk/formula
  • Snacks
  • Meals
  • Diapers & wipes
  • Extra books or toys
  • Swim diapers (If needed)
  • Floaties/lifejackets (If needed)
